Founded in Changsha in 2003, Hunan Sanchang Pump Co., Ltd. has been a driving force in centrifugal pump innovation. In 2005, it patented its self-balancing multi-stage pump and launched full-series R&D. In 2008, it pioneered high-wear pumps for slurry transport, and by 2013 it had secured key patents for double-suction split-case pumps, completing the COS series. In 2015, the company captured 50% of the salt-chemical market and strategically pivoted to mining pumps, initiating safety certification. This led to 2017 partnerships with major state-owned enterprises including China Gold, China Coal, and Shandong Energy. In 2020, the entire pump range (6–1,200 m³/h, up to 1,600 m head) was developed and obtained the industry’s highest number of mining safety certificates.
